In addition, Eppendorf provides instruments and systems for automated devices for liquid handling, a full range of equipment for DNA amplification, cell manipulation and biochips.
Eppendorf products are aimed at academic and commercial research institutes as well as industrial companies in the field of biotechnology or in other sectors using biotech research processes. Our main market is North America followed by West Europe and Asia.
Eppendorf was founded in Hamburg in 1945. Today, the company has more than 2,000 employees worldwide. In strategically important markets, we have our own subsidiaries and are represented in all other markets by distributors.
In fiscal 2006, the company’s sales revenues amounted to € 314 million with earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) of € 73.1 million.
We shall continue to expand our successful market position in the dynamic biotech markets. In addition to organic growth, we are also aiming at acquisitions in order to extend the company’s technology and product portfolio and to increase our range of biotech system solutions.
